great post and beyond awesome collection. thanks for sharing here with us.....incredible...im blown awayThought I'd share this here as well since I know there are quite a few BladeForums members who don't use the Book of Faces.
Here's the vast majority of my early era GKI folders, dating from 2008 through 2011.
Les didn't get his first CNC until the fall of 2012, so nearly everything pictured here was made before he graduated from machine school and began to incorporate CNC milling into his process. Back then, he was building almost exclusively custom knives, so nearly all of these predate the VECP.
His work has certainly continued to evolve and refine over the years, but these early pieces still hold a special place in my collection. They're absolute tanks, and I really enjoy the little design flourishes and artistic touches he incorporated when the project called for them. They really do have their own personality and are distinct from his later work.
I hope you all have a wonderful Independence Day!Keep those fingers intact!

Holy crap I need this in my life!As a big fan of Les George knives and designs, I thought there should be a dedicated thread to share pics and discussions. Fixed blades, folders, tools, customs, mid techs, collaborations...anything Les George is welcome, so let’s see them!
To start things off, I picked this one up off the exchange not long ago. Id been looking for a VECP, but couldn’t pass this guy up! Just a beast of a knife that actually cuts pretty well! I have not used it much yet, but I think I’m going to have it for a long time.

You do know that is not Mitch's actual pic in the profile right? He is your imaginary man at best.A real man would've scratched the DLC and showed it off.

Well, now that you've outed him...I guess we can show his actual image...You do know that is not Mitch's actual pic in the profile right? He is your imaginary man at best.![]()

After carrying for a week now, I am even more impressed. Comfortable in hand, does not feel or cut like a smaller knife, its summer - its solid and easy to carry
DLC is a pleasant surprise, no slip, quite grippy. Am not a flipper fan, but this little fella is very satisfying.

My second MK3 arrived and I’m extremely happy! This one has the LG trench dagger on the pocket clip and my other MK3 doesn’t have this logo, just a PJ pocket clip. Does this mean it’s older/newer or neither?
