The Les George Knives Thread

I just want to apologize to everyone for getting them addicted to LG. I’m not one to runaway from blame. I will take full responsibility. So I’m offering a one time opportunity, I will buy at least one LG off of you to replenish those wallets. To participate it will have to be a LG of my choosing but I will agree to pay table value. Please pm me if you would like to participate in this buy back program. I again apologize and look forward to rectifying this issue. Also please pm me on any future LGs that become available so I can help prevent further wallet denigration.
If we swap ZTs back, can we adjust for inflation?

I have a recent servo drop confession. Both of mine had loose pivot screws resulting in the blade favoring the show scale. I took both apart and applied some plumbers tape to the threads. I adjusted to my perfect flipping desires and the blades centered perfectly and the pivot screws haven't moved since!

Day 23: Talos Tuesday (much to the chagrin of ccsmith449 ccsmith449 :p)

I spoiled the surprise late last week, but I did get my grubby mitts on one of the Talos prototypes. The more time I spend with this knife, the more I'm impressed with it. While some may be understandably disappointed that it's not as large as the previous iteration, I feel confident saying that it's simply a higher quality knife. The lockbar relief is substantially larger, the pivot is larger, the standoffs now seat into the scales and are affixed by a screw in each side rather than screwing directly into the frame, the lockbar is chamfered much more comfortably, the action is smoother, the milling is more complex, etc. The VECP has long been my favorite mid-tech model and the knife I would carry if I could only have one, but this Talos is forcing me to reconsider. I'll definitely be getting a Magnacut version when those are released so I can actually put one to use. Assuming the quality is equal or better, I may have a new #1.

Well, I know none of you guys will back Clay...but I do. I actually like my LG quite a bit...but I wouldn't trade away any of my CRKs for it...which is why I said I think it's a great complement to the CRKs. But that's me.

Don't be too hard on folks with a different perspective. If anything, it'll make it easier to get your hands on Les more.

I won’t own this long enough for that to happen.
I'm just giving ya a hard time. At least you will be able to get your money right back out of it, LGs are moving quickly right now. If you get a chance to check out one of his frame locks, I think it would be more up your alley.
