The Les George Knives Thread

A few new Talos washed upon our french shores and I was lucky to get one (cannot tell you the price though, it was overgouging and I am ashamed to have paid so much).
The knife was a dream to disassemble and mount back and the new size is perfect for me. Still surprised that the scales were not milled out as for the VECP.

Curious. Is it balanced when open? I know Les said some of the milling was to "lighten" the knife...... but I also recognized that it made my VECP's (button and framelock) nearly perfectly balanced. Deliberate or not...... Perfection.

Not particulary balanced, still feels slightly lighter than a Seb.
The knife feels good in your hand but I guess that I grew accustomed to lightweight knives.
 


Love the Talos. Great model. Basically fixed everything I didn't love quite as much about the VECP and scaled it down to what's just the right size for me. Love it.

This one in MagnaCut I picked up from a guy who was at BLADE and was proxy buying for someone who cancelled on him. It is very slightly off center, but the action is great, so I am not worried. A plain-Jane one that went straight into my pocket. Looking forward to trying to get a few nicer ones, too.
 
Totally get the hype on these guys! Very well made even if the king didn't touch them personally!
