The life of a Chesnut Stockman.

Thank you as well, and thanks to all of you for sharing your pictures and stories. This seems to be one of those knives that has a memory attached to it for everyone. I'm just sorry I waited so long to get one, and by accident to boot! It has certainly dominated pocket time since it came to me.

I got the Case med Chestnut Stockman a few months back... at first I wasn't sure about it, but then grew to really love the knife.
So glad I have one.

Yep Eric, I'm digging mine.

Dropped them in some strong coffee today to even out the scales. There were a couple of white areas on the sowbelly I wanted to take care of, and dropped the stockman in as well so they'd stay matching. Here are the results!

Let me know what you think.

I have a Case in chestnut bone. It looks about like your "before" pic.
Personally, I'm happy with the color as it came from the factory, but it's your knife and the color has to please you.

I like my chestnut bone "before" Case too.....

But the "after" results kinda remind of my Schrade IXL's brown bone which I really like too!

Neat procedure! Thank you!

Yeah, I liked the overall color before as well, but the white lines along the bolsters on the sowbelly were getting to me. It's dried a bit and the red is showing more now than immediately after the dip. I'm happy with it. :)

Good Lord Jehicks that is some sort of coffee, i dropped my #92 Talon Goldenrod into my leftover breakfast coffee the other day left it for eight hours ,took it out rinsed it and have sent of for some brown Rit dye, are you sure that was coffee and not some old sump oil ?

Haha, yeah it was strong. Although now that it has dried the colors have come back a bit. I'll post pictures later!
