Is it at all possible to have the like button back in the Knifemakers for sale forum only , or were the problems from there also ? For myself as a maker selling and showing my work , it is nice for the folks to have an easy way to say they like what they see . Typing seems to be too much trouble for some .

Hi Jack I was thinking along the same. The crowd in Knifemakers always seem very well behaved to me. And typing on a phone is a pain too.
I support the idea of returning it for the maker's section, but for the record I doubt that posting a thumbs up or giving a one or two word attaboy is that big an issue for most. I hate typing on my phone, but even I can accomplish that task.

Spark Spark

(I don't know if the software will permit that level of granularity within the Exchange, but if so, I agree that it would not present an issue for us tasked with addressing the litany of complaints that had us buried previously.)
Thank you sir .

Can't do the like without also allowing the laugh react and others
Not sure what the laugh react and others are but I'm guessing they are the emojis . I have no problem with them and actually liked them but if they were part of the problem causing the Mod's the grief we would not want them but was this from the " Knifemakers for sale forum "

I'm fine with all the emojis too.... Knife makers prob have thicker skin, from all that scar tissue (cuts and what not) hahah!

I'm a recent maker.
This all happened during my first sale here on BF.
Not a single person liked my knife, but it did sell........

I think All the "likes" that we could get are actually a selling feature for Us makers.
A new buyer might see 9,000 likes on a knife and be more willing to splurge since it's apparent, at least to the community here to be a good one. Verses a knife with No likes :/

-Just My views,
Thanks.

For a place to gather likes and favorable comments this section of the forum is dedicated to just that purpose

Show your custom knives here

in that section you can not only get likes but folks that have first hand knowledge of your work can add more information for others to read and possibly make a better decision as to buying something from you.

if you had just a lot of likes in your sales thread it could make people wonder if it’s so good with all these likes, why hasn’t it sold yet?

also when I would get likes on my sale thread I would get a notification and I would think that a possible sale would be next….so that just raised my expectations only to just wait longer for someone that wants to buy

I do miss the ability to throw a "like" on something in the knife maker's space; in fact I've missed the ability several times now.
Seems superfluous to leave a response saying something like 'nice knife!', but I do like to show my support.

Thank you Mod's for answering my request .

No problem. For the record, B benchwarmer380 is one of the good guys around here...but I could see that it might sidetrack things a bit.

Anyway, we'll see if Spark Spark can find some sort of resolution where the makers can be accommodated but we can keep the detritus from building up in the rest of the Exchange.

I know benchwarmer380 is one of the good guys and it was meant in humor , like I told him , just did not seem to be the right fit here .
Thank you for all your help Blues .
