I go a hundred miles an hour, in daily life. So when I go hiking, its stop to smell the flowers time.
Trying to get my 8 year old daughter to slow down on our hikes is another story, but I'm getting to her.
We do most of our hikes in the fall. I love the cool air and the smells. I'm always telling her to stop and just take a slow deep breath in and smell the fall air. Look around, SEE your surroundings, its not a race.
Now, she is starting to see things while hiking, that I missed
