The Millennium Special Khukuri -- Register now.

I agree with sing...the serial numbers would be nice but they are certainly not a critical requirement. I'd be delighted to own one of these khukuris whether they are numbered or not.

I agree.
I would want one numbered or not.
This is gonna be one nice Khukuri!!!!

I put my mic's on my GS last night and it is .505 in a couple of places and .450 over much of the spine.
Add aother 2" in length and that
2 1/4" leaf type point....
I wonder how many of these will actually be used?

Cornbread ain't s'possed ta be sweet!....Dagnabit gurl, whut did they teach you way up north in ....;) hehehe.

Serial numbers don't mean much to me, either, but they certainly do to some!

Yvsa, I don't know whether these will be used or not but you can rest assured they are users if you want to.

This shipment today had me shaking my head. Each shipment is showing improvement in quality and I just don't know how much farther this can go. There is absolutely no doubt in my mind now that shop 2 is the premier khukuri maker in Nepal -- bar none.

Anything better than what we got today is just icing on the cake.

BTTT. After seeing the Ganga Ram, the Gelbu and the great looking karda by the young kami, I can't help but look forward to the Millenium.

Have we got enough orders to give this a go? Any idea about a timetable? I have a serious case of khukuri fever!

P.S. Just got the the minature khukuri. Cute surprise. Nice horn handle. Will send you the check. Also will wait for Shop one version. I am not sure but the hardness of the steel on this minature seems less than ideal for holding/keeping an edge -- not that it really matters since I using it as a letter/box opener.

It`s tempting,but I wouldn`t want a weapon that said peace.Other than,perhaps,If you wish peace,prepare for war.I forget the latin.

Ghost,

Can understand your position on that. Feel the same way on a certain level. But wanting peace can direct one in that direction. But peace at the cost of injustice is not peace and will only lead to conflict. A good sense of right and wrong is needed.

As far as the Millenium is concerned, it will be a backwoods piece. And in those backwoods, I do find a measure of solitude and peace.

( something ) pacem, parabellum.

BTW, Ghost, do you or anyone recall the details of the situation, players, and words ( uttered in middle french, later translated into latin ). The putatively good Cardinal, on the seizure of a city held by heretical forces was advised of the difficulty separating the faithful from the heretics. He replied: "Kill them all, God will know his own"? This is where the old spec for saying to "Kill them all, let God sort them out" originally came from.

We said that, and I do remember that the orgin was from the crusades, and it was a cleric.A city was to be sacked, though there was a christian population.Looting and raping was the paramount interest.Although we sometimes acted like a Viking raiding party,I missed that aspect. An officer and a gentleman, don`t you know;rats!

Pray for peace, prepare for war.

The order is a go and has been placed. I suspect we may see the first of the run before year's end. We have that blackout of 15 days due to Dasien headed right at us but the kamis deserve it. They work 7 days per week from 7AM to 6PM on a regular basis -- about like my schedule but no Dasein here.

Bill --

Thanks for your help today with my order. Great doing business with you.

I would like to order #21 if that would be within the range of production and is available. Otherwise, next available number.

Thanks.

Uncle Bill,

Because it is obvious that the numbering system is causing you grief, I would like to suggest, in the spirit of brotherhood, that we "forumites" voluntarily give up the numbering system. In that way, we can all be as brothers, without the stigma of ranking. I don't care to be ahead of anyone -- I just want my khuk to be special because of what it means to me, and me alone.

How 'bout it folks. Let's show Uncle Bill that we care about his state of mind.

Steven,

Your sentiment is shared by many of us on the list and has been expressed in another thread. Yes. Not worth the grief/trouble for Bill.
