I like the little oyster hatchet. It's got a bit more mass.
9 years later the little oyster hatchet still sits next to my wood stove. I used it tonight. The mini hatchet was passed on to my grandson last summer at our campout. In another year he'll get a full size hatchet and the little Vaughan will get passed down to my granddaughter.

Apparently even True Temper rebranded the little 8oz Vaughan.

The price isn't right for me, but I snagged these pictures from an Ebay listing.

Some might assume that being a TT they must have made it themselves , but there's no mistaking that this is 100% a V&B.

I have seen a number of the black painted V&B mini's with the label gone and always assumed they were either the LL Bean or PALCO, but the PALCO that appeared in this thread is the only one I've ever seen.
Now we know they also could have had the TT woodsman label on them.

It even has the black raven on the snap.

You can also get it as a Keen Kutter too I guess.
LOL.....I actually have one of those. Its not an axe, its an axe shaped object made of mystery steel. The meaning of edge geometry and the ability to actually cut things seems to be lost on the maker.....I have cross pein brick hammers that have better cutting geometry....
