LYING THERE IN THE CORNER!?!? Holy Crap is right! LeatherHog, When I send you a knife of that caliber I expect you to keep a better eye on it than that!!! Now finish the Kydex Fusion Dundee rig for it and get it back to me. ASAP! Geez!

:D ;)

Damn it T.L., I've managed denial up to reading the title to your thread.
I have decried the FBM in my head for months now, and in these days of Blade and the shenanigans Jerry and his ken play, I've grown weak.:jerkit:
My wife is rolling her eyes more, and I find myself trying to find the $ value of family members, so that I may INVEST in INFI.;)
You sent me over the top, and now I'm palpitating and sweating for a Mistress! Thanks a lot. :D

Oh, Congrats on the Beautiful New Battle B!?@#.................  :D

Smooth coating is very nice....how come you had it taken off TL. The old style smooth coating was way more tough than the crinkle. Doesn't as cool but holds up to a beating better.

Congrats on getting a Mistess....does the wife know?

Thanks guys. I already abused this bad girl today. The neighbor's pine tree had over stepped its limits and decided to invade my backyard. ;) She made quick work of some pretty thick branches. And I haven't even sharpened her yet. The "E" handle feels gread. It even feels better than my BA-E handle. Not as wide perhaps. I'll have to compare later.

Oh, and the wife knows that I have a big, scary knife. The $$$ is another issue. (eh eh eh).

Cause it was beat up, and butt ugly! A well loved Mistress for sure. But she was screaming for a face lift and make over.:)

In addition to Leatherman's comments I thought that leaving the coating on the handle was a good move to protect the steel from sweaty hands. Sometimes, when removing the coating around the micarta slabs, gaps are created where moisture could sneak in. Of course proper care can take care of this. And I hear that INFI is pretty good in the rust resistant dept. But the coating on the handle was still like new pretty much. Oh, and I like that 50/50 look. Two tone all the way baby. Plus I can always strip the rest of the coating later or have it recoated if desired.
;)

Dwayne really did a top notch job.

So do I. ;)

I'm think of doing that to my Heavy after she sees a couple good years of "use"... :D

I also did the 50/50 on my BA-E because when the previous owner reprofiled it (sharpest blade I ever had) it took off about 1/2" of the coating along the entire length of the edge. Not a problem fuctionally but just looked wierd. Now I am really pleased with it and it matches my BM-E. :) I'm thinking of having the BA-E DCBB. But right now she is a satin.
