Man, you take good knife pics my friend. Very nice review. Thank you. Your hands are big. I wonder if you'd like thicker scales. Changes the look of the knife considerably. I had never even considered a wider handle on that one. I love this model. The Esquire too. They are designed to be tricky to make. I was enamored of the Loveless NY Special, which makers say is his trickiest. IMO, thats because of subtle curves and line changes. I may be wrong. I've never made a Loveless patterned knife. But regardless, that was my thinking going into design of these. I want to do a bigger one with a 5" blade.
A wider one. Thats interesting.
Thanks sir, you and the crew did all the work that made taking the pics easy.
I have seen a few blades with thick liners or thick and thin. From the side it looks pretty neat. For me I keep imagining thin black then thick green with something like black linen micarta or black wood, bog oak. It would create an interesting side view with the liner clearly visible around the entire handle. Using black or stainless pins would look amazing. Or that cherry and lemon color combo all in micarta with natural pins.
I really love the flow over this model very clean, smooth and dynamic flow. A 5" would be pretty awesome.
