I just love the Peanut. I just sold a stag Peanut. I bought a old red bone Peanut as a gift and it made me realize I need one for myself. I would love to see your pictures, and or links, to your favorite Peanuts. I am going to buy one for my self and keep it forever. Are there any custom makers that feature Peanuts? I want to research every Peanut ever made before I pick. Thanks!:D

I just now ordered a couple of peanuts, a Case and a Schatt-Morgan. I'll let you know in a couple of days how the quality is.

I can't remember who it was, but somebody here posted a photo of a peanut with pearl scales and a damascus blade. I wish they would post it again because it was the most beautifull peanut I've ever lain eyes on.

It made me lust for a new knife!

I hate to say it but in my eyes the most beautiful peanut is the lowly Schrade 12OT. I carried a few Case peanuts for the past couple years and the Case were fine knives, but felt a bit bulky in the handle to me. Recently I started to carry my 12OT I love the way the handle looks and feels, and the rounded bolsters. I also really like the long pull nail nick it has, and for some reason I like saw cut Delrin. I've asked my wife for a peanut as a Christmas gift. I listed about a dozen that appeal to me and suggested that she pick the one she likes best from them. That way, there is still an element of surprise and a personal touch. Most of my choices are Case, but there are a couple of Queens in there too.

You're going to think i'm crazy but i'd have to say a yellow handle with cv blades is my ultimate peanut. case of course.

Here are two of mine that I've never scanned before. A world premier... :D

Top knife is a Bear MGC with pearl and damascus. I don't really care for their damascus though; it's much too dark.
Bottom knife is a Camillus from Santa Fe Stoneworks. Turquois and pearl, and the backside is a dark wood.

This is my favorite, because I think it is one of a kind. Anyone else seen one?

Original by Bob Cargill. Number 2, don't think he ever made another, and number one must be with family.

This is a stock photo, not mine, but I recently bought this blue bone peanut for my wife and I think it's beautiful. Fit and finish are perfect, too:

Here's one with Devin Thomas Damascus. I carried this Peanut all over the UK with me earlier this year. It did everything I asked of it.

Great knife, but it's a Stockman, not a Peanut.

I must disagree, I personally talked with Bob after it appeared in a national publication as a peanut, and when I ordered it he referred to it as a peanut. When held side by side with a standard Case peanut, there is no difference in side views or size. So if Bob called it a peanut and it was referred to in a national publication as a peanut. I am going to call it a PEANUT. Sorry to disagree and the definition of a stockman may fit also, But if it Bob built it and called it that, I think he knew enough about knives to call it what he thought best fit.
I ordered it direct and Know the knife and knew the maker, not some yarn spun on the bay.

PS: I have also had this knife appraised by BRL as a Bob Cargill original PEANUT. BRL did not correct the description in the appraisal, so I think I will continue calling it a PEANUT.

Thats a dream peanut!

Does Case still offer one like that?

Jackknife. I know this was a limited run. I just Googled "case damascus peanut" and there appear to be a number of online stores that list it. It's a real pretty little knife.

My wife bought me one of these for my Birthday this year. It has been with me ever since.

The handles are made of Mahogany Obsidian.

Wow! Thank you guys so much for all your feedback and suggestions. I'm sorry I've been an absentee thread starter. I all of a sudden got really busy.

I am going to start researching every one of your guys leads this weekend. You sure gave me a feast of food for thought. This is going to be so much fun. I'm really exited. :D I just love the blade profile on the two Peanut blades.
