..Whats the most expansive knife in your collection?

P.S if someone doesnt like this thread, it's simple, don't read it. If this was already POSTED, TOUGH! I didn't find it so I decided to post it.

OUCH...way to start a thread? sorry the folks have given you a rough beginning here, but don't continue it by starting out...things will calm down after you've been here a while...except concerning VG he Remains always VG...no real helping with that

Hmmm back to your question, my most expensive knife right now is my Small Sebenza wood Inlay, cost from the late Mr. James Mattis was $540 of which he extends out his good Karma cut to the charity of your choice which I always thought was very kind of him to do so!
Now strapping on a $500plus American dollar knife is tough to take out and start slicing open boxes or cleaning out some animal you've just whacked, so it really doesn't see much duty from me, the occasion letter and just cutting up some leather, seems like an expensive letter opener eh? But the more they cost the less most folks use, weird stuff! but true none the less.

Thats why that MicroTech LCC is such a great deal of the year, priced right and very tough!! one that you don't mind using.

Well, that's all I have to say about that..

Wow! those are some EXPANSIVE knives!! they must be hand made or something like that? are they? You know I am new to knives and last night I bought a BENCHMADE 720 "axis lock" or whatever it's called and dished out 250 Canadian dollars for this piece and I must tell you I am still in a "shock" cause of the amount I spent on this knife.

Your proffessional opinion, do you think 250 canadian for the one I got it TOO much?

I guess the most expansive knife I have is my Lamey Camp knife. Yeah...it is the biggest one I have. I have knives that cost more but this one is the biggest & widest.

The knife though, doesn't really expand. It stays the same size.

I hope this helps.

I guess my most expansive knife would either be my multi-tool or SAK. Once all the blades open up it does look expanded. To bad though with all the blades and tools on the things they don't come with a spell check.

Kodiak and Owen,

don't you have anything better to do then act like morons and ridicule me? you guys are acting like idiots, if you don't like my thread, don't read and post in it, it's that simple really.

Well the most expensive knife I use (not abuse) would be this Elishewitz (about $500)

The most expensive that I use and abuse is a Microtech LCC (about $130).
The most expensive that I own and don't use would be these two (both over $800)

Getting back to the topic... My father has a cheap OTF auto that expands to nearly twice it's size. Now that's expansive.

The most expansive knife I know is a Filipino handmade balisong that has a 27 inch blade and expands to 57 inches when it's open. To call this big boy a knife is a bit of an overstatement. But, Sniperboy owns one that's even longer.

Misko, it may be hard to understand, but the guys are trying to help you not hurt you. You're here to learn and share and we are willing to share and teach. Just sit back and don't take yourself so seriously (actually don't take any of us or anyone else so seriously).

My most expansive knife is a WWII Allied survival folder that carries two blades and goes from 6" close to nearly 18" open (both blades extended).

My most expensive knife is probably one of the custom pieces. The more you know about knives the easier it is to spend more on a knife. The price is irrelevant, there are plenty of good knives in each price level. Figure out what you want and then worry about investing the big dollars on a rare example.

Have fun, relax, and welcome to the forums.

Hey Misko, chill! You start your thread with a BIG chip, prominently displayed. And we like nothing better than to knock it off. It's the way the world works. Don't expect hugs and kisses if you want to show your derriere. So if you want better attitude, show better attitude. But I repeat myself.
This is obviously a difficult lesson for you to learn. If you tone down your aggressive attitude, you will find that you will be readily accepted. If you notice, we poke fun at each other all the time. But it's usually harmless fun, not straight attitude like the kinds of posts you make. So I repeat: take a chill-pill dude. You are way too tense.

BTW, my most EXPANSIVE knife is a Leatherman Wave. My most EXPENSIVE knife is a Busse Battle Mistress.

My most expensive knife is a custom by Gene Osborn. I will however be breaking that price barrier when Tom Mayo finishes my TNT.

Misko,
Don't worry about these guys teasing you. It's all in good fun. What I have learned in the last year is there are a bunch of guys here that are just clowns. I mean check out this thread I started last night: http://www.bladeforums.com/ubb/Forum54/HTML/003433.html

It's all good natured fun.

My most expensive Knife is a Remington sheath knife made sometime before 1934 with the dupont stamp. I have turned down offers if four figures for it.

My most expensive knife will be the next custom knife I order, I'm ready for my first folder, and I'm ready to jump the $300 hurdle. Now, I have knives worth over $300, but I didn't buy them they were gifts. Now, I'm sure Misko is scratching his pointy little head wondering, "Now who would give this nasty bastid knives?" I'll just let him keep wondering.

Misko, just as some free advice, lose the attitude, change your name (cause right now your name is MUDD) try reading some posts and thinking before you post again, and for heaven's sake get a sense of humor.

Misko, several people have told you to lighten up. Maybe I can expand on that a little bit. I have been here since the beginning, and I can guarantee you that anytime someone makes a typo such as yours (expansive instead of expensive) there will be at least one smart@ss reply to it. They are not being @ssholes, it's just a joke. That's just the way things flow around here.
