The most expansive knife you own?..

Most expensive: a Daniel Winkler All damascus and mammoth ivory lock bar folder with great file work inside and out (not for sale, but $800).

Winkler Damascus Lockback

Most expansive: a Buster Warenksi mirror finished skinner. About the same $$ as above, but I think this one stands a really good chance of increasing in value. The price it sold for almost doubled at the moment I bought it recently. The last guy only had to hold it for about a week to realize a great profit

Maybe in twenty years it will be worth twice
as much again...

BTW, why is this thread still going and going and going? Misko packed up his tent, jumped on his camel, and fled into the night--and all the while, yelling %$#@ &^% $!@#.

I get some pleasure from finding a relentlessly peaceful use for a combative looking knife.

I was forced to do it, my friend made me, I had no choice, the peer pressure!

I spent $900 for a Keith Kilby custom made L6-1095 damascus hunter..., which is only a smidgeon ahead of my $860 D'Holder engraved hunter.

a Mission "sterile" MPK. The company told me that there were very few sterile knives made and that they would not be made again unless specifically demanded by the USG. I was informed that what I had was a collectors item and valued and around $2000.00. I could have fallen out of my chair!..I found this one in a surplus store :>) and did some trading to get it...
