I'd imagine the overall standard of sheathmaking has gone up ever since that DVD by a certain Mr Long came out:thumbup:...I know mine has...although not enough to post any on here!
Meteu - Thank you!! I'm not exactly sure what you are referring to by "this". But, if you mean the wooden sheaths.... I do them occasionally when I think it fits the knife style, and I've sold or given as presents several pieces with wooden sheaths.
After dubbing Adam DesRosiers' JS ivory test knife the 'Chilikadrotna Fighter' commemorating a wilderness float trip, I turned Justin Reichert loose with the theme and a walrus ivory net weight. This was his result.
This one is leather lined fiberglass with pig skin leather stretched over it. You ever try to stretch pig skin? Not an easy task. Anyway I'm proud of it.
