Nessmuk, Pocketmuk, Neckmuk, or Mini Muk, whatever you have, post it here! I think this is a vastly underrated design, equally at home in the woods or kitchen, and think it deserves a comeback.

One of my earliest models.

I have these three versions.

The ivory micarta model has one too, but I just noticed the patina obscuring it.

That's the Mini Muk, 5 1/2" overall, 2 1/2" blade.

Ok..makes sense since it does look smaller than mine. Cant wait for your next preview of MiniMuk or other variants for sale.

Side note:
I actually got the sheath from you John and made it significantly smaller and added another layer of thread for support.. Not as nicely finished since I am a newbie working with leather but my Neckmuk stays put and wont fall come out unless I want it too.

The sheath with the sides cut to make it more narrow sheath which left it looking like natural tan leather but then I burned via wood bit at high speeds over the leather over and over. It changed color and while it looks ugly and the brown burnt look is not pretty....The feel and hardness resembles Kydex. Didn't realize it would get so hard and plastic feeling but hope it keeps the blade in there better.

Nice job on the sheath. I don't make the leather sheaths anymore, only kydex. My brother does the leather sheaths.

I thought I would see more of these, the first knife I made for a pass around was a Nessmuk, back in 2007, and sold quite a few of these.

well John, i hope to add to this thread shortly. i have some really nice cocobolo to put on the pocketmuk i received. but, i may go a different direction. stay tuned!

:)

glad you like it, thanks :)

in defence of pretty handles, the only thing I do different is the materials, they are made with the same strength and protection as plainer woods.
