The New "Almost Ready To Ship" Thread

Hunter in zebrawood and brass for the Available Now section.

Hi Stomper -

Some really nice stuff in the available now section!

Great pictures too.

That customer designed survival knife is very cool - I like the bow-drill divot.

What is the extended tang designed for?

best regards -

I think he said the tang was for scraping hides, and the notch is for a firesteel.

Holy cow! John, My survival knife turned out great! I can't wait to get my hands on it. For the guys wondering about the design, the saw back spine is for notching primitive traps, the spear point blade is for cuttting, skinning, and drilling divit for bow drill harth, and a bow drill divit in the handle the extended tang is for scrapping hides and firesteel notch. I like having more than one way to start a fire. Last but not least the holes in the tang and hallow pins are for lashing to a pole or stick to use as a spear.

Today I started on #2, #3, and #4 Originals, an EWOK that will be in ironwood, and an EDC that will be in tan micarta.

#3 Original in ironwood with yellow liners, and #4 Original in tulipwood with red liners, both for D86PQ.

Standard handle, lousy photo! :o Your Original will be posted tomorrow, handles glueing on now.

This will be your favorite JK! Too bad it`s going to be your last. ;)

Oh you never know. I keep seeing knives you're making that I want. Riverwoods companion, the little fatties, the survival knife, and some of the anniversary knives look terrific. Pitdogs intrigues me.
