I was figuring off of the original price with micarta handles at $587.00. . . .

We are shooting for an 18.5" blade. . . . but may end up in the 17" blade length range due to machining restraints.

We did some prototype testing today that proved to be very promising!!!!

Jerry, I know that I might be asking a bit much here, but what are you waiting for? I'm not asking for a specific answer, but can you give us something a little more meaningful? Is it finding out if materials will be available, strength testing, tooling? just a little hint would be very nice. Thanks.

Please...you should know better than that! Questions will not be answered, pix will not be posted, and little teasers will continue to drip out here and there...until "IT'S HERE!!!" is announced :cool: way it is and I drink to deal with it

We're down to the final number crunching. This will determine the final price of the AK-47 and thus the feasability of the project. If it is priced too high, then very few HOGs will be able to afford one and we lose the advantage of running a large number of pieces. This in turn drives the cost of production through the roof on a small lot. So, either we will be able to hit our target of $587.00 which would make it the "deal o' da day" and very affordable for anyone interested in swords, or it will cost $2,900.00 which is the price of a comparably sized custom through the Busse Custom Shop.


The strength and performance testing surpassed ALL of our expectations!!! :eek: :eek: :cool:

Right now it would be approx. 35,000 pieces :eek: ;) . . . . That's why we need to keep crunching. . . :D

Not a problem. Skunk would be good for 20,000 or so and then between 1WB's, HamGuy, PorkGunner, Raden and not in the least Porkersson you only have to worry about 27 for everybody else.

Sound about right to you?

Hmmm, I say go for the very limited $2,900 quantity...better investment for those who get them :) As for everyone else....well...get your butts out on the corner and make them earn you more money. Medicine can take care of almost any side effects these days :D

Damn! That means I had better get to the store for another 12 or so. Why didn't I buy a case from the git?

Lack of foresight I'm sure. Must be slipping in my doteage, er, old age, er, the dog drank em. That's it, the dog drank all my beer!

OK, 2 things to do. Go get another case of beer, keep the dog away from them and (3 things), find my wife another job to pay for the AK and other assorted INFI.

Sounds like a good Sat night plan. Will keep you informed of wife's job hunt.

Well, looks pretty much like a done deal! I'll take a couple of the (27) left, so that only leaves (25) left to go. Let see, normally if you buy two the third one is something like $187.00, so if Skunk buy 20,000, how many does he get for $187.00? HMMMMMMMM...................
