The New Batch!

OH, snap! Mesquite?! Awesome! Everywhere I look from the house is mesquite, that stuff is purty on furniture.

Here is my Mesquite. The 2 on the left are from Andy, the one on the far right is one I did. The 2 in Antique Ivory are a Mini Canadian and Imp from Bark River. The Black Canvas Micarta is another Kit Knife I did.

Nothing available right now. The new batch comes out Wednesday.

"I am full time, and I think working in batches is key to profitability. I had my apprentice profile 82 knives in October. On the 20th I started drilling the blanks. Then on to grinding and heat treating. I've ground and heat treated a batch a day since last week, and have 14 left to grind. My goal (unattainable, but fun to have a goal) is to finish all 82 before Christmas. I usually finish 30 knives a month. I've got 17 knives going to get glued up today. I'll finish those by Wednesday of next week. By then I'll also be done with pre ht grinding, and heat treating of the entire 82 blades. After that, it will be choosing blades for batches, and finishing work. Repeat.

Lots of sanding days (all day sanding) before Christmas."

Andy posted this on the "Shop Talk" Forum a couple of days ago. I'm sure there will be lots of cool stuff coming from him over the coming weeks. He also posted a picture with a ton of different blades that are profiled and waiting to be finished. And then there are all those Machetes that are on the way! I think he and Dylan will be burning up a lot of sanding belts before the end of the year. Dylan also said he has 20+ blades he is working on. I've got some $$ saved and ready to spend.

please stop making these beauties some of them are close to my ideal knife and at the end I´ll have to buy one ;-)
