  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

The new Condor Dadao

I know I am reviving an old thread, but I just got mine and I have to say I am really impressed. The blade itself is solid, came fairly sharp (about an hour of TLC got it to push-cut sharp), and is really well made. I am not too fond of the "sheath" as it doesnt hold the blade in place very well (slides half way out easily even with both snaps closed)... but that isnt a deal breaker at all.

I bought this after watching these videos:

I dont think you can buy a hunk of 1075 steel that is this quality for less. It is a total value tool / weapon and I 100% will recommend it to anyone looking for such.

thanks, it's a blood red paracord with the white guts removed. took me a while to figure out the pattern so i could use a single uncut length. traditional wrap would have used cotton or even strips of old cloth. the original i based it on used a yellow fore/aft stranding. google 'dadao' & pick 'images' from the top menu, lots of cool dadao photos.
