Since it seems a lot of members feel the urge to chat in contest threads, I figured I would give them a place to chat.

:D Like 42blades nice soup bowl

Also is there an age limit on the contest?

We should have a chatting thread! Since we are such a tight-knit community, we need somewhere to talk while not having to worry about the subject matter. We need continuous chat. So let's shoot the shit...

Great idea paintballer! We should be able to just talk, and not have to worry about getting off topic. We will get to know a lot more about eachother, and it will create a much more friendly and open environment.

So what are y'all doing tonight?

There should be like a Rat Cutlery General Discussion sticky....

 are you sure there's not one? I remember there being one here when I first started visiting the RAT forum, of course that was over a year ago so maybe it did finally disappear.

:grumpy: and no one mention bacon.

Is it possible to have a RAT-Cutlery subforum for off-topic discussions like H.I has their "Cantina"?

Great idea though! Also, if anybody wants I could setup a chatroom and we could arrange certain meeting times like WSS does.

I got all sorts of flak for the idea when I first thought it up...and lots of tin-foil hat comments when I actually did it...but you know what? It WORKS! (even if it makes me look like some sort of Space Lumberjack) :D :D :D

I agree about making any theoretical chat thread a sticky. The old thread kept on disappearing off the front page too quickly for folks to keep up with it and we quickly returned to our lawless ways. :p

Well, something we do at W&SS is have a chat knife on Tues & Sundays using Chatzki. See the sticky in W&SS. No reason why the ratpackers can't set up their own chat room. They can be pretty fun. Of course folks are always welcome to joint in the W&SS chats.

Turkey bacon, that is what my wife and I eat.
The Wal-mart brand is the best.

Most other brands have sausage/pork renderings for flavor, kinda defeats the purpose of eating turkey bacon then, LOL.

And fried turkey is extra GREAT!

I've been cooking my bacon (real pig) in the microwave lately. One plate, two paper towels, a layer of bacon and another paper towel on top. Usually start off with 5 min. then go 45sec to a min. at a time until done to preference. After they've cooled enough to handle, put strips on a new paper towel to dry. No greasy air in the house, no hot splatters, no grease to clean up, less grease on the bacon. Tastes the same.

I dunno if ya'll want to or if thats what you meant, but it is a simple thing to set up a IRC chat room. Its a very basic no frills messenger client that everyone can use.

it is much easier on a computer, so even people with limited computer resources (hardware limitations) can use.

It keeps the boards clean, and gives everyone a place to chat, take bacon, or booty, and then when they log off, its done with till next time, that should be amicable to both parties (users (ratero's) and moderators)

I have a small free chat room on my ning site.

http://intothewoodsbook.ning.com

I don't know how many people can be on at one time as I have never used it, but you guys are ALL welcomed to pile over there until something gets figured out here for a chat.

Just trying to keep everyone together :)
