The new Delica 4

Just a little note that may or may not help anyone... I believe it doesn't apply to the FRN/G10 models but, with the Stainless Steel models, it might help.

Since the Stainless Steel units are threaded thru the actual bolster and not a closed end threaded nut... BE CAREFUL. I threaded one of the stock screws into the tip up position of a Stainless Model without the spacer of the clip. (I believe to "store" the screw while I was monkeying around with the clip.) The screw, without the clip as a spacer, was then long enough to be in the way and impact the blade edge as it closed.

Moral? Make sure those screws are short enough to NOT protrude into the blade cavity if you are filling the holes on a stainless steel model with stock screws .

[We now resume your normal thread. Apologies for the interruption. :o ]

No Sal, it's not a flaw. The first time I engraved one I thought' What a brilliant knife!' and that's what I love about them the practicality and design, all my work does, hopefully, is enhance an already beautiful object.

To quote the designer William Morris "Have nothing in your house that you do not know to be useful, or believe to to be beautiful."
