The new DPx HEST folder

I cant find the HEST 2.0 for sale on the DPx website. Am I blind? I've been looking for a version 1.0 in a lefty for quite a while and had no luck. Do you know if they're making the 2.0 in a left handed version?

I guess they've sold out for now... they had them in stock and on sale for 175.00 just a few days ago. Sorry for the bum steer. :(

not changing the subject, but i have a quick question about the DPx HEST tool. does that spanner fit Strider knives?

Also, has anyone used the knife hard yet? I know some knives in the past have put a stop pin in G10 and the hole gets stretched out over time.

My dealings with DPX has been great, I had a Hest/F 1.0 with lock problems, and I sent that in and they replaced it with a 2.0 and also gave me a Mr. DP T-shirt also. I have been carrying and using the 2.0, and so far it has been a great knife. I have no lock problems with mine at all, but my Rotoblock is very loose and easy to engage, and disengage. I think that the 2.0 is a great improvement over the 1.0 they listened to what was wrong, and tried very hard to fix it with changing the design of the knife to much. Mine came very sharp out of the box for such a thick blade it slices pretty well. The clip is also a lot stronger too, and I really like how deep it carries in the pocket. Overall it is a great knife, and mine will be in my EDC rotation for a long time.

Here it is next to some other folders for comparison

Obviously, RYP rubbed a lot of people the wrong way during the short time the DPx manufacturer's forum was active here. However, setting aside whatever people may feel about RYP as an individual, everything I've seen from him and his company indicates that they're very committed to listening to customer feedback, improving their products, and standing behind those products/offering excellent customer service under their warranty. As I mentioned above, I'm definitely planning on getting a HEST Folder 2.0, and am looking forward to seeing what else DPx offers in the future.

A dummy spit and leaving is listening to the customers? I think they look good but I dont really wanna trust putting my money somewhere that seems unstable, especially if there is a chance I will need to utilize the warranty.

Hmm, not mine.

Fours years and still not a hint of blade play. Let me know when your Sanrenmu stands up to my pricey counterpart.

There are threads for whipping your CRK out of your pants to twang against the 710, in fact there are several with hundreds of replies.
