Found an Embassy at the gun show today, and purchased it legally from a Spyderco Dealer. Looks like another outstanding creation from the fine folks at Spyderco! Once again, fit and finish is excellent on these (the citadel's as well). Doesn't hit as hard as the Citadel's but fires more than adequately. Pictures up tomorrow!

The born-on date of May08 is probably a clue they're not discontinued...;)

I looked it up on Knifeworks and New Graham. Neither returned any results, so I assumed it was discontinued.

Where was I supposed to have read that?

Not the most obvious coding system, so perhaps Reholli should've explained this, but the two letter code on the box tells you the month and year it was made, A = 1, B = 2 &c, so the EH corresponds to 5 and 8, hence May 08. Hope that helps.

I would like to see a similar knife, G-10 inlay and modified Wharncliffe, without automatic blade-opening (and obviously a larger Spyder-hole :-) and in stainless steel.

As it is, I consider it a must have. Looks great and a nice balance between traditional Spyderco knifes and something new.

Not to mention that both the embassy and citadel are very easy to handle. Balance is outstanding and these knives have a good solid feel, excellent in the hand.

Looks like a stout piece, congrats.

One question: what level of tactile feel does the shaping/texturing of the firing button give?

It has a 'grip/non-slip' feel to it, when you put your finger on it, you know it and it doesn't easily slide off and we've got large hands. It is especially 'grip/non-slip' when compared to the smooth fire button's on our Daltons.

Oh, neat.

Good looking knife, looks like another "must have". Any idea on price and when they'll be available to the gp?
