Those high grinds look awesome. I have the full scale version on order from Mark. He's been very communicative and cool to deal with. Now the hardest part is the wait, I have a feeling it'll be very much worth it.

Looks interesting...

For all those Tracker knife fans -- TOPS is releasing a smaller version about half the size as the original for more of a combat type knife / and for smaller work

My Tops knife works great, no sense in spending money on something I don't need... plus I don't like that it is shiney --- Now the Rick Fowler knife is my kind of knife... what's the price on that bad boy?

I sold my used Beck WSK on Ebay for $1600.00. Not a bad return on my investment. I used the $ to buy a new Kimber TLE-RL2 with SureFire X-200 and had monet left over for lots of other toys.

Did you not like the WSK or ?? Either way you made good getting that much for it. I'm hoping Dave Beck will comeback and start making this design again but that of course is a slim possibility.

DITTO This Possibility is not very slim actually:thumbup:

Well, I don't know how true it is, but...
I have heard that Dave Beck has quite a few unfinished WSKs. And that he was going to finish and sell them slowly. As long as, or when he feels healthy enough to do so???

Yeah Dave's intention was to sell off WSK's on Ebay here and there. I don't know if he's been doing that or not, I haven't talked to him in a year or so. I sold my WSK because I needed the money and I already had 2 Beck's that I designed, a survival knife and a woodlore knife, a matched set with my initials stamped on them. I will never part with those. I hope Dave does return but I know how sick and tired he was of making those WSK's. Also, he was in poor heath and his wife too if I remember correctly. Hope they're both okay.

My first one or maybe two did not have the cant Like I now make them. I cant the handle a little downward to provide a chopping area upon the blade a bit further from the half round tip. Too straight and it chops rather close to that tip, or very back part of hatchet edge. I make my handle a full six inches length so as to function as a double position handle, rearward for chopping leverage.

Nice looking D2 blade that this thread was started for, by the way. I am sure, there is lots of hard work and time in making that knife for $300

looks good, but do you know the dimentions? Is this guy a good maker. Do you think it is as high of quality as a Linger WSK?

Mark Terrell is a maker of the highest quality.
I have a Knecker of his and the work is clean and the grinds are wicked sharp.
The man knows his art.

I will prolly get more of Mark's work.

Guys can you help me with this discussion? Who has legal ownership and the right to produce the WSK design. Rumor has it the RS6 Blades is in battle with Tom Brown over the right to produce this knife.
Tom Brown is on the war path and is supposed to coming after all makers of the WSK's. The Discussion is on does he own the design or not and does he have the right to keep others from making it?
