All the topics I go into more often are at the bottom and I have to scroll down farther. Yeah, it's real minor, but lame too.

Wrong forum to ask. Give us a day or two to redesign this thing. Or send me $1,000 and I will do it tonight

Putting the knives for sale at the top was an excellent move (he said, as he flicked Spyderco/Terzuola Starmate #407 for the millionth time that night

).

Then send all your change to me

Yeah, put the forums back to the old order, the new one's too expensive -- I never go into the For Sale forums, but I did tonight because they were at the top, and I bought something...

While your at it, can you make it so we could pick which order and which forums we want in our preferences.

I'm okay with change(If it's $ change, I'm more than okay with it), I'm trying to be as adaptive as possible, Y2K is coming!!

Change is good! Without change there'd be no growth. Without growth we'd never excel or get better at anything. Change is rarely easy and usually uncomfortable, but it adds spice to life. And EW is right about desiring to become more adaptable. Y2K is coming. And like it or not, some form of change will definitely accompany it.

Congrats, Mike on the new format. Sure, it'll take some getting used to, but so did the old one.

Now this is the funniest thread I have ever seen. "I'll flick my knife open and closed a 1000 times an hour, but scrolling is too hard."?

Changing the order gives the other forums a chance for activity. Keep up the good work guys!

Mix it every month, I'll still scroll down.

You guys are doing a fantastic job. It's your forum, your time and energy and money. No matter how you put it together its still the best source of knife information on the internet.
Bob

I don't like the new format because it gives the impression that the sale forums are the most important, then the manufacturer, and that the main forums are sort-of an afterthought.

Don't forget to pay your taxes...they eventually become my knives:)

Although the new format will take some getting used to I don't have a problem with it.

It makes sense to put the Revenue generating sections at the top.

For those who don't like it would you rather have to pay a membership fee to have the general discussion on top?

I am not accusing Mike and Sparks of being mercenary just recognizing that it takes both time and money to keep this site operating.

If I may be so bold, I suggest we thank Mike and Spark for their dedication and hard work to continually improve the forums for us. Then give the new format a few days to sink in, and politely post any feedback to the Suggestion Box forum, where it belongs. I can imagine few things more discouraging than working my ass off to improve things, then signing on the next day to read threads in the wrong forum about how the changes "suck".

Joe

This format will be changing in the next few days anyhow, as we get the forum order settled in. So, don't get too attached to the order of the categories and forums as they will be changing.
