I will get one but I really wish it were 4" blade length so I could EDC it! One can dream...;)

Good idea. Can we get Jennifers input on this? Perhaps proceeds to pay for more blades for the 'boys' (and girls in the sandbox).

I still think we could start a fund to help Busse and Swamp Rat provide steel for those going in harms way. No profit,no adm cost no nuttin but steel for those at the point of the spear. What cha think?

I think that is an excellent idea! Busse/Swamp Rat already give generously, why not get the 'memebers' involved as well. Some 'Swamp Tags', now I would go for that!

The naming contest will be starting before 10:00 Eastern time today(Thursday) most likely sometime late afternoon or early evening. :D:D
 
My question is this: Why combine such a wide profile (not talking blade thickness) with a tip designed for penetration? If you narrowed the blade by a quarter-inch (at least) I would probably buy one.

That fund idea is absolutely excellent. A lot of military personnel aren't well educated when it comes to knives, and will buy a piece of crap just because they think it's pretty. Others just aren't willing to pay for quality.

Another option may be a sort of sponsorship program. Instead of a fund, a pool of money, a civilian could "sponsor" a soldier on a more person-to-person basis. This would improve relations between civis and soldiers, and it would be one hell of a marketing tool for Swamp Rat. With all the current anti-war crap going on, this could show soldiers that those they are protecting really do appreciate it, thus improving morale. Think Children's Christian Fund (you know, the Sally Struthers ads for 3rd world kids) for soldiers.

If Swamp Rat wants to discuss this further, I'm definitely willing to collaborate. Yeah, this is a project I could definitely get involved in. Somebody give me a yell on this!
