A bit late, but Happy Anniversary to you and the Mrs Dubz. The weather has been a roller coaster lately, I hope you both enjoyed ylthe trip to the cabin.

I had to take my dog out at 4am today because he woke me up but call it the middle of the night :p

-27 for a low here tonight with wind chill down to -55. High of -17 for tomorrow, but back up above zero Tuesday and for the rest of the forecast after that. Thank goodness.

it was 2f at 2 this morning, 4 at 7, 5 at 8, and currently 7. high if 16 today
supposed to bottom out at -9 tomorrow morning at 7 and be back above 0f by 10 AM.

Misti tried to remote start her car last night before we went to bed just to let it run a bit. She had the last 4 days off and hadn't been anywhere and of course it wouldn't start. Ended up jumping it and pulling it closer to the house to put it on the charger overnight. It started up fine this morning, but it might be time for a new battery.

Then there's my 2018 Silverado that I bought new in February of 2018. Still using the original battery and just keeps working. I was going to replace it this winter, but it still cranks over great. I'm assuming that will bite me in the ass one of these days.

3F this morning in Rhody.
New boiler is not keeping up. I suspect the circulator pump duty cycle is set wrong for my house. Dang computerized controls. Time to read the manual...

My furnace wasn't keeping up at all. When I got up this morning, it was 50° in the kitchen, haha. Changed the furnace filter, and it warmed right up. We just put a new filter in a few months back, and it wasn't that dirty today when we changed it, but damn that new filter made a huge difference.

HUH!
And intake air filter or the oil filter?
I changed my oil filter not that long ago, and kind of assumed they had done that during the boiler replacement, but now amn't sure. Tho the boiler itself seems to be doing ok.

I raised the Low-Temp turn-on temp so the average water temp thru the baseboards will be higher. Seems to have helped a bit, but the outside temp is dropping again, expecting 5F for several hours.

Received the 82 yesterday 👍🏼 Thanks John at Tomars 👍🏼

No time to check it out much do to a family function. I’m very impressed by the excellent machine work of KABAR on the blade 👍🏼
I waited to long to get another one...but their sale made me a bit more than a BK 82 costs... Oddly the BK 82 seemed to be also gone from my usual online knife sites.

Had a bout with 'the crud' from right before Christmas. Slept right through that holiday self medicating. Still hanging on a month later, so I knuckled under and went to the doctor, turned into pneumonia. Yay. 2nd go round for me, first time I was about ten. Double antibiotics are turning the tide. Enjoyed today off work, ate steak for breakfast, skipped lunch, finished the steak for dinner.
Without antibiotics, this stuff will kill you.

Last year my wife was in same situation crud from Christmas. I took her to the emergency room this time last year. Hers was RSV while doing a CT scan, they caught another chronic problem so early that it is controllable and shouldn’t give her problems

Get well soon! Pneumonia is insidious and evil.
Had a similar experience back in the mid-90's, when I got diagnosed, the doc told me if I had waited 3 more days, I'd have just gone to sleep and never woken up
