It has been quite a while since I have spent any real time here. So, it's good to come back with some good news.

The Wharning, which was previously offered by Meyerco will finally be coming back. There have been some starts and stops along the way, but it is moving now. The new Wharning will be made in the USA. I am not in a position to name the company as of yet. That should be soon. We are looking at doing a Ti framelock with a carbon fiber or G-10 front. the dimensions are 7.5" oal and a 3.5" blade. Still deciding final blade thickness. It will be at least .156" up to .187" I will also be doing a custom version as well.

Also, this should not be confused with the design I did with Kizer called the Rogue. The Rogue is a smaller, slimmer, and different profile than the Wharning. The Rogue is a more affordable, but high quality modified wharncliffe style blade.

Any decision on steel yet? Nice looking design. I hope the material and build quality are top notch AND I can afford one :) Hard combination to hit sometimes.

Good catch. I knew I forgot something. It will be at least S35VN. Still discussing the pros and cons of different steels. I am also considering a liner lock version with a "lower end" steel like 154CM for a more affordable option.

More choices is always good. S35VN is good stuff and "at least" sounds like you are heading in an interesting direction. btw, glad to see you here and really liking your Kizer designs too!

I liked the Meyerco one cause it was affordable. Made in USA, at least S35VN, Ti-framelock...sounds less and less likely that this new one will be anywhere near my budget, sadly(also, not a fan of framelocks in general).

Short term, yes, just the frame lock. I am hoping I will be able to get the liner lock version to be much more affordable.

Looks like quite a nice no frills utility design. Some people would say boring, but I say it is purpose built, and that purpose is for being a great all around design. Something about the looks click with me, from the simple handle design to the wharncliffe blade. Lefty drilling would seal the deal!
