Hi Folks
A few weeks ago I posted a thread about how I had gone a little overboard buying slippies lately......:o

So here are my new arrivals. These have all made the long trek down south over the past few weeks with the Schatts's arriving on friday.

These S&M Fire & Wire series are just such beautiful pocket knives. They have an elegance about them that I think is just wonderful......Needless to say I have already ordered two more. I hope you like them:)

I've never owned a S&M but they look like very nicely made knives.

Are yours ATS-34 ?

How is the dogleg stockman? That one is one of my favorites soon to be in my pocket one day.I dig the extra pin in the handle

My way of thinking is the Schatt & Morgan's File & Wire knives don't take a back seat to anyone...darn fine knives! Good feel to them and a pleasure to carry. Well done!!

The fit and finish is excellent. The scales are simply gorgeous and with ATS-34 blades it makes a perfect edc......

I am a newcomer to collecting slippies, so I have not seen that many, but compared to some of my other Queens and Schatt's, Queen have really upped their game with these Fire & Wire series knives.

I really hate to bust your bubble here Alfaholic but that Reverse Gunstock Stockman has 440A (Queen steel) blades not ATS-34.:grumpy: That particular knife was the 2nd knife in the 2nd Series and the last knife that Queen made with Queen Steel. From then on all F & W knives were made with ATS-34. Some of the F & W knives before that Stockman were made in both steels. I heard they had a hard time with ATS-34 at first.

BUT you have some fine looking Schatt there my friend!!
Enjoy them in good health.:D

To clean-up some misinformation. I was wrong about the Stockman, it was the 1st knife in the 2nd series. The 2nd knife in that series was a Teardrop Jack.
They were both made with Queen Steel.

Thanks. I'm still in love with that Schatt dogleg stockman.

Oh hey me too navihawk!
I'm pretty sure I have every handle material that Queen has made on that pattern. About 15 different ones at least. I just wish they would make it with a different steel.

Thanks for the info Dave. It's interesting that this would happen. Is there a S&M collectors site with this info? I am interested in finding out more. Please PM me with any links you have.
Thanks
Steven
