A fitting tribute to your boy's memory......enjoy seeing your ideas come to life in wood and steel. Isn't it amazing how John can read between the lines and make your design come out exactly like your vision, no matter the level of your artistic ability?

Thanks, and yes John does a great job that way, especially considering artistically challenged folks like me, theres a large margin of "thats what I was trying to draw" :)

kyenglish....just saw your post about your boy Toby. So sorry to hear that. Wish i could type something more meaningful. As others have said....it's a beautiful tribute.

Thanks, thats more then enough and i appreciated it

Hey Peter,I too am sorry for yours & your families loss.

I have been thinking about the most used knife in my collection & for me it's a paring knife.
I was going to have one very similar made by John & would love to have a Toby's Knife in my knife block to
use every day & in my small way pay tribute to little Toby.
Congrats on a great design & a great tribute to your little boy Toby.

Sorry for your loss. That is an awesome design! And excellent execution. I cant hand around these forums much longer, if I do its going to cost alot of money.

That turned out great!! Looks like it will fill it's intended role quite nicely.

I have been thinking of getting a Bird & Trout style knife that was narrow, thin, and pointy - you nailed all that in your first design, very well done.

Sorry for your family's loss, and that is a very nice tribute.

Such a sad story behind a great design......my heart goes out to ya buddy !

That is a great looking design and the name is a fine tribute.
I can imagine a lot of uses for that blade.
Well done.

Thanks again, your comments in while I was trying to come up with the design helped a lot like many others, and the advice you mentioned of your dads helped me finally stop playing with handles and do what I wanted with it, :)

Wow, that's so horrible to read about your loss. I'm so sorry. But, a nice tribute so that he will never be forgotten. Very nice design.
