Any idea what the next model of the popular Blur by Kershaw may look like?

I could live with seeing a Blur with a blackwash flat ground wharncliff blade in CPM-M4, Coyote/Sand/Tan handle with CF inlay. :D Probably not going to happen but I can dream lol!

I mean, there are so many variations out there from over the years that really nothing reasonable is beyond possibility. They generally stick with steels already in use by KAI, but there are Blur models made from steels ranging from 420HC all the way up to Elmax.

I personally would like to see a composite edge model made from D2 and some stainless steel, like 14C28N.

I don't like the rough scales. I'd pay a lot more for an already budget friendly knife, that didn't rip my pockets after a few weeks of carrying. (Well, maybe I'm a liar, because I only carry it or a leek because of how cheap they are.)

I think the blade is a legit shape. I simply wish that the scales were more sleek like a leek...essentially making the blur a leek xl.

Add on/edit: same with my griptilian. Hating carrying it around because the big silly scales. I just put awt scales on it, and love the knife now. Point being I'm a fan I'd smooth, sleek, scales.

My dream blur would probably have titanium handles with carbon fiber inserts. Any of the super steels I wouldn't mind.

I'd buy it. As it stands now though, the s30v is hard to beat. It's got the best characteristics of any stainless perfectly balanced. Doesn't chip on me, sharpens easily, and stays sharp a long time. I really like the current handle too. Feels great in my hand.

Did they ever make a blur with smooth Al scales like the link? Blackedwashed blade and dark smooth Al scales, to me that would be a winner.

I don't think so. I just know the rough ones. If they did make one, however, it would appear my dream blur described above already exists.

They made a LE a couple of years back that had textured aluminum scales and came in green or brown with a DL coating on the blade. I saw a green one in the exchange a day or two ago.

There were two versions of green and purple aluminum (spider web) handles, one with a DLC tanto serrated blade and one with a reg DLC blade These were the same as the occ red blur. No brown.

You're right. I was thinking of the ZT 0350. I get confused a lot. :o
