The NEXT SALE

When it comes to claiming a spot, do I have to write anything specific or can it just be anything?
If you try to type anything specific, you'll be on page 2+ of the responses. You gotta be fast! People typing "I'll take a DEK1 in MagnaCut with brown burlap micarta scales, please!" lose to people typing "I'll take one!" who lose to people who type "IN" who lose to people who type "q." Usual courtesy is to go back and edit your post to include what you want so that people after you have a better idea of what is left for them.

The initial post rush gives you the right to pick what you want from what's available when it's your turn. But it usually takes several days to get an e-mail or PM from Jo about it, and depending on scale availability, it could be several weeks, so after that initial rush to post, there's really no rush at all.

Unfortunately, that's how the forum software works. If you look at the top right corner of your post, it will state the number of your response in the thread. Nathan's post is number 1 for the sales thread and the first lucky 20 are numbers 2 thru 21. Refreshing after posting doesn't alter your post number. It just shows your post in the correct order behind posts in front of you.

Don’t listen to this guy. I recommend that everyone read the for sale thread. Make your choice, and type it into your original post.

Mixed inventory. Sun 12th, here in person at the CPK compound.

There will also be an unsanctioned run-what-you-brung outlaw cut. First prize is your choice of $500 cash or a new-old-stock D2 Skinner. The cut has a $50 entry fee to help cover some of the costs. We're going to try to keep things low key and have fun. This is for the experience and to meet some of the folks on the forum.

Sale is around 4:00 eastern time, after the cut but before dinner. Please bring cash for in-person sales. I'll grill some steaks, there's an open bar, camp fire and fooling around with lots of knives. You can play with my K18 and K20 etc.

^ Jo, Bo, Mark, Ben, Sadie, Tanto and I hope to see you there. Sadie can't wait to meat you.

Wish I could go but can’t. Such a cool thing you and your team are doing. I’m sure it will be fun and amazing.
