Just to fill you guys in on some more details - most of my new knives come from a shop in Sandton City (probably the most well known shopping centre in the country). It's about a half hour drive from where I live, but it's worth thee trip. There is a really nice selection, here is a link to their sight, if anyone is interested.

The South African Rand is worth rougly USD 0.10, ie: one US Dollar will cost me ten Rand. You will notice that we pay quite a bit more here than what I see from some of the links you guys have posted. This is probably due to shipping costs and import duties. At least the shop has a decent selection available and I can see them and handle them before I buy.

i reccomend the benchmade mini grip so you can try out an axis lock, and a spyderco tenacious (only about 35 bucks). check out some reviews on youtube

But for goodness sakes man, we are in a recession! Save yourself from the madness!
Take it from me who has the obsession real bad:
-watches (started with seikos and citizens then tags then omega, now looking at iwc)
-knives/tools (started with buck then benchmade, now looking at crk,darrelralph,striders)
-flashlights (started with mags and now collecting/buying surefires and customs)
-pens (started with spacepens, now collecting/buying tactical pens)
-lighters (started with zippos then windmills, now collecting/buying dunhills and stdupont)
-cars (started with a volvo s80, then bmw 330xi, now looking at to buy m5's and porsche cay's...hopefully maybe juuuust maybe further down the line in a beautiful future, an aston martin dbs)
-women, no really come on admit it they are so damn expensive!
Oddly enough, I don't really collect electronics (not counting flashlights). I have an iphone, xps, samsung hdtv, ps3, but that's it, I don't collect them.
Oh hell I'm by no mean's rich...and I'm still paying off my gradschool loans.
