Actually, if I understand the intent of the forum knives, that should NOT be expected. The idea was to provide a "group knife" at a special lower price to members. If a knife was sold, it was to be sold for the original price, more or less. In other words, these knives are not for profit. They might have to pay more but that’s to be expected.
That looks like a . . . stiffhorn? Is that right? Who made it - too much glare for me to read the maker's mark. TIA!It'll be over soon!
Adding this pic with some knife content to get my post count up!

Yes, I meant to infer that the price was expected to cover costs of shipping and the original price. I wouldn’t expect a fellow member to ship a knife for free to my benefit.Actually, if I understand the intent of the forum knives, that should NOT be expected. It's very clear that the flippers don't get that.... all they see is $$$ signs. If I get one of these discounted GEC knives, I can double/triple/fourple the cost and make some MONEY!!!
Completely NOT in the spirit of the Forum knife....

So stick to Thumbs Up Emojis on posts?Play to your strengths.
ok... no offense intended..... I didn't get that from your post.... I agree that paying a "little" more is understandable.. I am so used to flippers (which you obviously are NOT) selling forum knives for 3 and 4 times their original price, it just seems someone has to re-iterate the idea occasionally.Yes, I meant to infer that the price was expected to cover costs of shipping and the original price. Post a picture of a coin with a date that has your post count as the first two digits
I agree with this statement. In fact, I will agree with it 6 more times if need be.plus, I'm trying to up my post count.....
Sorry, you over qualify...no BF knife for you!
You’ve been here long enough that you probably have enough knives Jeff. You should allocate your forum knife to some unknown person who recently joined and posts just to get a knife.
Do you remember the guy who turned up one Christmas (here and a few other non-BF forums) with all the sob-stories?!I personally don't want this year's BF barlow by GEC, but there's a young lad by the name of Timmy that is in the local hospital and it looks like he won't make it. Timmy fell down the abandoned Tomboy mine and was trapped for most of the summer. I can only imagine the look on Timmy's face when he sees his GEC BF barlow for the first time and opens the blade with the last of his ebbing strength. He has a sister too, so it would only be fair if she got one as well. Thanks so much.![]()
