For us involved in that, which occurred some time back, I tried searching for that thread here but with no luck. I have been reluctant for months that has turned into going on a couple years now to say what I did not wish to. Our Duke had been corresponding with me occasionally. Last I heard from him was, I believe, November of 2005. My future email attempts beginning just after that have returned nothing. He had been deployed out of Afghanistan into another theater of operation. I have an idea where but not the obvious we might assume. I do know as a fact to my satisfaction all knives mailed to them were received. I believe this because Duke himself had confirmed that to me via email. A few months back, about six months, I lost all my Outlook Express email addresses through a hard disk failure. In addition I had purposely destroyed any written correspondence with Special Ops, for obvious reason. In addition, our sniper of the team no longer corresponds since almost the same amount of time.
I just thought it would be less than fair or correct not to share this with all you who made those great knives for the cause. I continue to be optimistic and hope they are still destroying the enemy.
