The one knife you will never sell

  • My grandfather's Buck 110
  • My grandfathers SAK from when he was in the navy
  • My Leatherman Juice S2 that my wife bought me when we were dating
  • My Koster BushMaster that my wife bought me when we were dating
  • The first knife that I made for myself
  • My Bushmaster XL that was given to me by a close friend
All of these come with a story and to me the story, history, and sentimental value exceeds the monetary value of the knives. All the others are just stuff and tools and are open to the chopping block at any time.

I'm trying to get to a point where all the knives I have fall into this category...I feel I'm close, and still like everything I have, but some pieces have more personal value over others. This piece by Pepe Jalomo is my latest to fall into the "never sell" category - a true custom, built exactly as I requested:

Wow, nice knife.

A case jack knife from my grandpa. He passed away 10 years ago and I keep it in the safe. I only carry it in special occasions such as the birth of my son.
