The one that got away.....

Well I agreed to sell my Manix 2 yesterday and immediately after I began to regret doing so. Still haven't shipped it because of the holiday weekend but a deal is a deal so... Guess I will have to keep a keen eye on the for sale section to pick up another in the future.

Crkt sebenza and carbon V recon scout... (both getting harder to find ~ and more and more expensive when you do)

OUCH! the memory still hurts.

Chris Reeve Umfaan. they went out of production about the time I got my first chris reeve knife. (for those that aren't aware the Umfaan was pretty much a minature Sebenza) I longed for one for years. after looking around and never finding one for anything near retail I had pretty much given up. About a year later I happened by a guy that had not one but two new in box at a gun show, he was asking retail price. I didn't have the cash and didn't want to put one of them on a credit card. I passed. I should have bought both and resold one on e-bay for a profit.

I have yet to find what is in my mind the perfect gent's knife/cigar cutter.

When I think about walking out of that gunshow empty handed it still stings...probably been six years ago or more.

A couple months ago, a gentleman in Idaho advertised a large unique Sebenza, a couple Extrema Ratios, a Benchmade, a TOPS, and another folder, brand escapes me. All folders were unused, some with boxes. Good clear pics and an asking price of... $450!!!!! Of course, I saw the ad about 20 minutes late and another fella had called dibs. Oh well!

Saw a Zero Tolerance 0350kw go off on ebay one time for $95. It's the exclusive with beadblasted blade. Never pulled the trigger. Going on alittle over a year now that I've been after one. Still pissed about it, too. haha

Funny...how life is...I'm the one who bought that knife...still just sits in my collection. I had to have one, too. Now that I do, I decided I like the WW version better. Its stonewashed instead of bead blasted.

about a month ago I learned that Kershaw had a Ti/ZDP-189 leek sprint. well im about 5yrs too late but I still want one

You definitely should have bought that then...they are now going for $300-$400...I too want one...but not at that price! (the bay had 3 in the last 10 days...fyi)

Maybe two weeks ago or so there was a guy on this forum selling 4 or 5 folders of the same model but all had different scales. They were thick looking and shaped sort of like a small leaf. The scales were different some were brown, some G10 or micarta, seems like one had some metal designs on them (can't remember for sure). I have been looking for that particular post/thread for the last 2 weeks and for the life of me i cannot find it. I'm aggravated for not buying one and even more so for not being able to find the post/thread or member/seller yet (pissed!). *I've used the search function and had no luck.

There's a custom or few that get away from me every Friday when these two certain custom retailers update their inventory...oh well, I guess maybe next time...

I tend to stay away from Ebay, too many bad buys mostly my fault. but still not a place id like to go back. however if they ever pop up here for cheaper . . . :D

I had a chance to get a Timascus Lochsa, and thought about it too long. By the time I had decided to get it, it had sold!

there was a seriously SERIOUSLY cool machete on the forsales on this site a few year ago , by the time Id checked my paypal and credit card to see if I could do it without upsetting the mrs ... it was sold .

Seen it in use in pics by the guy who bought it recently ... its better than I thought it was when I first seen it ..
