maybe one of these

You know, Cobalt. If you sent me one of those, we'd both have answers to this thread. ;)

That'd make a sweeeet user.

:D :D

i haven't fondled as many pieces of INFI as some of you hogs, but from the few i have played with i think i'm going to have to say the HOGFSH i just got in from MBwirenut. as much as i like the heavy hearts, this is just a step above - an absolute beast. of my limited supply, and as much as i like to think i'll hang on to all of my current stock, i think it's safe to say that this is the one that will not be sold.

the coating has been removed, and pics will be forthcoming after i get it polished up. it looks like one side was partially beadblasted, and the other side has a satin finish. now i just have to decide whether to go satin or DC, suggestions?

Probably this one, just have to figure out which sheath I'd use ;). It would be a close one between this guy, and my regular Eu-17 with black micarta (the only known Eu-17 of ANY size with black micarta, all the rest are tan)

Those are awesome, Cobalt! What kind of grip material is on there? The swedge is an unsharpened, false edge, right? Beautiful, man!

like a black gray linen micarta I think. Really nice handles. I'd like to have that same handle texture on my FBM's.

What color scales?

alright, you can only pick one, just one, piece of infi. which one do you keep above all others?

"MY PRECIOUS" if you will.

the federal government has declared infi necessary in the fight to preserve democracy, and all infi, save one, will be collected from us all.
or some other lame storyline. point is, which is your absolute favorite, the one that doesnt ever get traded, or sold, or donated.

most of you know mine, but ill start.....
MEANER STREET LE #149, W/ LEATHERMAN BADASS, LOW RIDE RANDALL, AND HIGH RIDE POUCH.

This is a tough question, LOL ...And the truth is that by the time "they" got to my house, the Meaner & Leaner would be GONE... EVEN if I had to make 2 of my friends declare them as theirs at KNIFEPOINT, LOL. So, with THAT prearranged, I'd stick with something stylish and stabby. A true one of a kind so that it would be easily identified whenever someone tries ummm, 'borrow' it. One piece, ya gotta think about ITS security too, as EVERYONE without will WANT YOURS. :D I'll stick with this one. Stabby, still long enough to a semi decent chopper, the scalloped areas are handy to place your hand while applying weight for press cutting, and it looks great! with a little modding, it could do almost anything you want. I'd add some teeth to one scalloped area, and some traction grooves to the other and further down the spine for a thumbrest. That's my story, and I'm sticking to it.

OH HELL.... it would come down to these two:

The LMS, FBM LE. And I'd keep the FBM since there are other knives that can do what a LMS can do.

do i sense a bit of regret??? ;)

yes.......I am glad it went to him however, as he is as fanatical about the first 300 as I am. They are different than all the rest in more ways than just the swedge and bieng first

Doc, one of those looks like a 1/6? Is that right?
(Do you mind if I ask where you got it from?)

Sir Cobalt speaketh the truth! (Believe it or not.)

Yeah, he told me I could have it if I could throw it and stick it in an ace of spades on a log from 15 paces after downing roughly a half-gallon of Long Island iced teas.

Fortunately, he wasn't sober enough to tell whether I made it or not.

:o:o:o

I ADORE the smooth micarta on that baby!

That's my favorite too. Unfortunately, I don't have one. I'll have to settle for this:

Rick

I cant wait to see my variant thats like that but without the choil, and with a less tall blade. someday...

That is a brutally hard question. I have 3 super knives, the variant slicer thats coming, the hogsjtacle, and the hogfbmle... Even though I love the moab, theres a lot of khukuries that outweigh it for heavy duty chopping.

I dont know. There are heavy choppers I like, but few that I can trust to take the abuse the hogfbmle. Theres plenty of "sharpened prybar's" I could replace the hogsjtacle with, but none that I trust to be able to take lateral stress and still maintain a straight profile without chipping...... and I know that I could potentially get a slicer that I was satisfied with that was higher hardness, but not one that I could trust to maintain under abuse.....

I guess I'd go with the custom sjtac slicer...

One of these here days, I'll show you a thing or two about fanatical. ;)
