I think Lisa has went well past collector status to professor. Dr. Lisaantica has a good ring to it. Anyone else with great photos and stories? Nyfemaker, Haze?

The easy answer for me is "None" -- under any of a number dire circumstances. If, however, you ask which blade would be the hardest to give up, that's a really hard question. :) I'm going to have to cheat and name one of each flavor.

Right now "the one" for me is my Large 21. Although I have been carrying my Umnumzaan all week and it is really growing on me. :)
 
She's a beauty. That's going to be my next blade profile:)
 
Personally I will NEVER, EVER give up ANY of my knives, so they are ALL THE ONE!

That is true. I feel the same way. But I also get a joy from doing a trade here on the forum with someone that is really excited about getting a type of blade for the first time. Just recently traded for a umnum that I did not really need since I have many but the other forum member was so excited about my knife I let him have it. There are multiple ways to get enjoyment and sometimes it's from letting one go.

Is there a name for your small Lisa pick?
If it is not just a one-off, I would love to try to find another of them!

Some points that might help:
  • Most unique graphics that Lisa designed and implemented can be described or shown in photo to Lisa, and she can make one to order similar to it . I say similar, because the vast majority of her designs are "free hand" at the mill, and no two implementations will turn out identically. I say most, because I know of at least one design that turned out to be a PITA to do once she got into it, and she will not do that one again (if you've ever seen my "Nozomi Taiko" design . . . that's the one).
  • A unique graphic that was designed by someone else and she was commissioned to implement is one that she will not likely reproduce w/o permission from the designer.
  • All "Lisa's Picks" that I know of have been designed by Lisa, and as such, would be designs that she'd likely make to order.

Great information. Fooj. Can't go wrong with a Lisa pick for sure. If anyone has the large to match my small I will take it. :)
