What do you think ?

I think I handled the orange one in Peru a few months back. It has to be the best folder I have ever used!

I've been oogling these for a while, there is something about then that I like a lot, but there is something in the design that I don't like though. I'd love to handle on though to see how it is.

Ive lusted after an orange one for awhile. I just got an Emerson A100 though, so it will have to wait.

Glad you found your "one" bro!

I just got my spyderco tenacious, I am not a folder guy so I am pretty sure this will be my "one" for a long time, it's really pretty great.
That orange one looks pretty sweet, though.

For me, Spyderco Manix (and Alpha Dorado for the people-friendly tasks).

 And here I thought you were posting about "the one" who would be shutting down your industry! :p

Back on topic, I look the look and shape of the handle, but I'm a little wary of the hole in the blade. Is its only purpose to assist in opening?

Thanks for the comparison pic Doc...I never realized the Manix was that large, yikes...I have the Bravo and your photo really hit home.

I haven't seen one of those in orange in stock anywhere. I decided to go another route for an orange folder and put some orange G-10 Griptilikins on a BM Griptillian . I'd still like to find a Pro Hunter in orange though.

I'm a Manix and S90v Military kind of guy.
The Millie is my edc and usually acompanys me in the woods with a fixed blade and sak, the millie does food prep.
The Manix is a hiking buddy of mine and my work knife.

What is the difference between the Blade-Tech Pro Hunter "Extreme" and the "Magnum Extreme" ?

Had no idea that Manix was so large ... nice collection you got there Doc

Yes, she's a beast. I wasn't expecting it to be so big, but now that I've carried it for awhile, I quite like it, despite it being a little less than pretty (not completely won over with the blade shape, but hey, that's why form should follow function). I have no doubts that it can hold it's own in the bush.

I hope I can find "The One" at some point in my life :)

That looks like a great knife and am interested in hearing how you like it as time goes on.

LOL ! Don't get me going on that subject  We will see how that goes  Coal is 52% of our nations Energy, cut it out & it's lights out for millions of people across the nation not counting on whats shipped over seas to power other countries. Coal is also used in asphalt (your highways) & a lot of rubber products have coal bi-products in them ! ;) "We keep the lights on !"
I mine Coal & your Welcome :p

Love the Tenacious as well!
Its my favorite (single-bladed) folder right now and my overall favorite Spyderco.
Its Buck 110 good, a new classic, hopefully Spyderco will keep it in production for a looong time!

Doc nice Manix!
Before the Tenacious i almost bought a Manix a half a dozen times.
I love the Manix but i just couldn't reconcile myself with its hefty price tag.
