The ones that got away, discountiued knives...

The Spyderco Calypso Junior Lightweight. On Spyderco's own forum Sal has mentioned a small run in grey, but under a new name. Its my thread "Dear Mr Glesser".

I think the Pinnacle would do well in the current climate. It's only real fallback as far as I can see was the fact it was brought out approx. the same time as the awesome 710 Axis. Rather than pinnacle-ing as it may have done otherwise, it was instead eclipsed by the 710's HUGE popularity.
If they do bring it back, they should address a few minor glitches, such as putting Bronze-Phosphor washers on the pivot, ditch the re-curve blade for an easier to sharpen in the field straight edge and give that suckah tip up or tip down carry options. Oh yeah, using S30-V for the blade wouldn't be too shabby either. Given these changes, I believe the Pinnacle would be yet another success story for Benchmade. I would save my money to get hold of one if they re-introduced it as described.

All the best,
Mike U.

How about the case XX Buffalo P172? What a bull of a knife. I think it was produced in the 60's or 70's. Classic lines, Great handling. (sigh):( alas no more.

Buck Sawby 2 blade canoe. I don't know how many were made or if they even went into production :-( SMKW had them listed
