The only small fixed blade I need is a mule

I was very lucky to buy from a friend a Mule COS3,Cobalt laminate between SUS420j,beautyfull handle and sheath too!maybe the sharpest knife ever for me (300+),this one is going to get some use soon.

I'm starting to think the Mules cover (almost) all of my cutting needs for a small blade. I broke down a ton of boxes last week, using a K390. It displayed better edge retention than 90% of my other knives. Hmmm.... Excellent performance at a low price. Gotta love it!

The K390 is a wonderful box cutter. The Maxamet has been my go to for the past few months, but I really do think that if you want to keep a fine edge the K390 is a better choice.
The Maxamet doesn't seem to take much edge damage so I keep using it with fairly frequent touch ups.

Recently finished up another handle project for a Mule Team. The ironwood was done a while ago. The new one is LC200N with some really fantastic Amboyna burl, and basic copper pins. I knocked the finger guard off this one as well, and didn't put quite as much flare at the front of the handle.

Boy Tony those look professionally done, your hobby looks like it could be a business if you so desired. Great work on those and yes I love the concept of all the different steels to try.

I would love to get more mules, but the shipping and handling plus taxes to get them to Germany is sadly killing it for me most of the time.
It is easier and cheaper for me to get other fixed knives (be it white river or whatever) with scales and sheathed over here than getting a mule with a steel of the month. Sadly.

Mule Team 16 CTS-XHP is marked on Spyderco website for $50 because it was blemished. Anyone know what went wrong? Is it worth buying in the secondary market (if I can find one)?

Mules are great, in the past I had few m390 and cts.....which makes me think that I need one now.

I've got a thread going on the site forum for input on a permanent Mule Team style fixed blade. I guess I can start one here as well
