The Para 2 Crave

Thanks, guys. Some of you didnt' really...understand what I was going for with this thread, but perhaps I just didn't clarify myself well enough. Either way, I was thinking the Tenacious aswell and being as several of you guys suggested it I'm going to get one as soon as possible. The Para 2 will be later down the line, but it's going to be the Tenacious to get my feet wet. Thanks again, guys.

If you smoke, drink, drive, eat out, or date girls, I'm sure you could get the money saved up pretty quick by cutting back some other things. No substitution for what has caught your eye. But if you just have to buy something now take a look at the Centofente 4. The FFG Delica is one of the best sellers for a reason.

+1 :D

I bought my first spyderco folder last month, and its para2 20cp. Now i have to pay the bill :grumpy:

And i agree this is very good design. I ended up buying another for next month bill :p

Never try one, and im not suggesting, Navy K502. There is one seller on fleabay selling it for $20. It has similiar design and compression lock too.

I don't think too many Spyderco fans will be thrilled with the suggestion of a Chinese knife that infringes on Spydercos designs without getting permission. Using the compression lock is essentially stealing from Spyderco, and is just compounded if people buy the CCC instead of the real deal Spyderco. It's pretty disrespectful to come into Spydercos house and suggest a knife that that was not designed but stolen from other peoples ideas and research. Just saying.

Good move

The Tenacious is a good knife, no doubt (and probably a better value than most other knives out there), but its got no choil, is less ergonomic than the Para2, has less belly, has a smaller Spyder-hole, and is a liner-lock knife as opposed to the compression lock.

The Cara Cara is a step down from the Tenacious, but you gain the choil and a back-lock (if you consider the back-lock an upgrade over the liner-lock).

Here's a good video comparison of the two:
