With the good news that the Buck Paradigm will be arriving at dealers in a few weeks I was just wondering what you guys that roped them few fence jumpers think of the two models.

Thanks Dave, heck I'm all stoked up about the day my Avid hits the L.Z. Been waiting for months and getting sorta tired of them dang Dear John emails from knife center every week. ha, ha

Dave didn't you buy your Paradigms from some guy out of Idaho?

I got my Paradigm Avid from Knifecenter.com last year. I'm curious about how many of these knives were released to distributors in that first wave.

I'm also curious if these first knives out on the market have any issues. Something was wrong that halted production. That said, my knife seems fine and functions without issue.

Good morning G,

The first Pro and Avid I bought came from an eBay seller in Oregon. The second Pro came from an online knife dealer (New Graham) in Virginia. The eBayer had just the two and the dealer only had one.

Yeah,Plum & Flat it's strange that just a few got out then the barn door got slammed shut:confused: It's a mystery for sure! While I've been waiting, just been buying other great Buck knives on my list.

I know. I got my Paradigm Avid from Knifecenter. I don't they had but a few. I didn't pre-order, I was just on the site and they said they were in stock so I pounced.

With Dave's three, my one, and I think there is one other fella whose a regular with one. Five known Paradigms on this forum isn't very many.

Makes me wonder if as an early released model, Dave's and mine knives are collectable??????

I believe I ordered/received my Paradigm Avid nearly same day as you Flat.

Sorry Tony I was having trouble remember your name...started to say "that Colts Fan" :);)

Were did you get your knife??

uhhh....Let's not twist that knife anymore. I purchased my through Knifecenter. Love the knife. I've had no problems. I think the locking mechanism is a real winner...Assuming there isn't some bigger problem. One of my co-workers (Packer fan) ordered one after handling mine in February. He has been enduring the backorder.

Mine has performed flawlessly since I got it. I really wonder how some got out and seem fine and then no knives and no comment on the issue. I assume Joe or Phil or somebody will let us know what's going on at some point.

Anyway, seems like only a small number went out cause its only us three with the knife.

There have been several hundred of each model released to the Market all are 100% fine and meet our quality standards, the issue was getting a consistant process down on the shop floor. The engineers have worked night and day to get the bugs worked out from a manufacturing stand point, Pilot runs have been produced and we are ready to go. Parts are running through the shop as we speak and we will begin producing finished units in June. So in short they will be available fairly soon. You will love this knife.

I think you need some actual feild trials-I volunteer to shake one or 2 down:D

Duck I hope you are right that they are on their way! I just got my weekly email saying nothing in yet from Knifecenter!

We had a few at NRA in Charlotte and I signed my first one. All of these were perfect.

You all had asked about the production hold up and we just needed to dial in a few things so we were not losing so many in production. No bad knives went out.

Off the top of my head not sure what the production schedule is but I do know these are starting to roll off the line.

Thanks CJ,

I really hadnt been overly excited but with all the talk and now a light at the end of the tunnel, I may have just been bitten by the must have bug:)
