The Paramilitary 2 is great.....but

I bought one, carried it a couple of times and got rid of it. I just can't go that small after carrying the full-size Mili every day for the past decade.

I guess the only thing is that the blade is pretty thick. I was used to carrying a FFG delica g10, and when I switched up to a para 2, I was initially pissed because of the lack of slice-ability. But then I realized that I was making a big deal out of nothing. It slices great, just not quite as scalpel like as the delica. Has more heft to it and that its really nice. Another one of my favs.

I think the thickness on the para is 4mm and the delica is about 3 or less...but it definitely gets thinner as you head to the point...scalpel like.

I love my para because its a CF sprint! the g10 one is also boss, and I had no fears of weakness in the blade or anything like that. Its just great.

I love them both, but for some edc stuff, the para 2 is just a bit large

Another thumbs up for the Para 2 from me. I've got both the G10 and the S90V / CF. Been carrying the CF version. I really like the size, action, and overall feel. Want a Digicam / DLC when it comes out to match my Millie in the same configuration. :)

i got mine about a month ago or so and i carried it everyday. there's nothing bad about the one i received. the lock was kinda a pain in the ass at first because the blade didn't drop when i unlocked it. but now it does so its awesome.
the only thing is you have to watch the tip. its super pointy and it seems delicate. but as long as you don't go nuts and stab something hard you'll be ok i think. it's really a sweet knife both in function and in looks.

What can be bad about a tried & proven American made G10/S30V lightweight all around great user?

delicate tip, but that's just part of the design. No play on mine, but if there was I'd just remove that bushing and very carefully stone it down a few thousandths and eliminate the play. Mine smoothed up quite a bit over the last week of use and is now very slick. Locks up great. Getting used to the compression lock, which doesn't take long. It's a great knife. Though I keep carrying my Hawkbill II as a back up. Really love that blade though I think I may be the only one.

I only have a para 1 so I cant comment on the knife from personal usage but
one thing I dont care for is the satin clip. I like the para 1's all black look.
And I really dont mind having clip up position only. It works for the para 1.
Honestly Im fully content with my para 1. Im going to have to actually handle a para 2 before buying it to see if its worth getting.

The blade shape and overall styling and design of the handle come together to make it a very useful and comfortable cutting system. If there is one thing I hate about it I guess since buying my first Para Military 2 that its how if I go to the safe to trade out a knife for a while and carry a different one I end up struggling there at the safe door while having an internal dialogue going back and forth in my mind as to if I really want to part with the Para 2 or not. 9 times out of 10 I grab the other knife and keep the Para Military 2 in the other pocket even though I know I don't need it and probably should put it back up for a while. :D

That's funny, I did that last Friday. I was going to get my Zaan and ended up putting it back in and putting the P2 back in my pocket. I really like the comp. lock now. I just really enjoy using the knife. After putting a good sharp edge on it, I just strop it about once a week.

I'm really liking mine. Have not been able to bring myself to carry anything else since I got it. I'm really reaching here, but possible negatives for me are the shiny clip. I wish it was black or at least satin. Also, the tip up clip positioning beside the lanyard hole seems like a bit of an afterthought, but I'm glad to have the option. Lastly, I think they could have squeezed another 1/4 inch out of the blade in the same handle. More edge would be better, but it's close to perfect as it is.

It's a great knife, I find my self switching between the Paramilitary 2 and Zero Tolerance 0350 for edc these days.

I like mine a lot, it's a wonderfully functioning design. Only issue is the blade sits off center (has been so from the beginning), but I have no blade play whatsoever.

The shiny clip bothers me. I just ordered black clips for my Para 2 and Manix 2. Other than that, I have no complaints. Awesome knife. I like it better than my Manix 2 so far.

A tad too light for my taste. If it had a little bit more weight to it it would be as perfect as my Sebenza.
