The perfect CRK Sheath

That sounds ideal to me. I'd almost prefer the clip to be deep carry but with the butt of the knife stickin out as little as possible, with just enough purchase to grab on to.

Also, the sheath can't be too tight because then you'd be taking both knife and sheath out which defeats the whole purpose.

I'm envisioning like a secondary, stationary, discrete pocket almost.

I second this...^^^

I know exactly what you are talking about. Its very similar to the pocket system on a william henry which I liked. I sold it mainly because the thumbstud was so sharp ahaha. Great knives I would like to own another. Anyway, I am thinking a few models might be the trick.

I will work on a prototype this week and the next (I need to order the clips) and post it and maybe get a little feedback.

I totally appreciate the thoughts. Maybe I can end up making a lot of them if they are well received.

I agree as little knife as possible showing. If I'm going to have it in a sheath, might as well protect it as best as can be. I'd prefer the thinner more supple leather. It just seems to me that it would release the knife easier.

Seriously, I'm in line when you have that one ready.

I personally like thin textured leather the the best, however I appreciate a nice pattern on tooled leather. I agree with supercoup, a deep carry clip with a litke bit of the butt sticking out would be perfect.

This has been a good one, wish the knife road a little deeper.

bradtown and rnbtexas, I agree as little of the knife showing with just enough to get a grip.

The one bradtown has is nice my idea is to cut down on the edges and make them tigher and make it ride deeper. and of course instead of a belt loop I would do a built in clip on the sheath. Two models might be the way to go. One with a more plush leather and one that can be shaped and tool. I will order the supplies this weekend and try to get a prototype or two down in a few weeks. Next week is really nuts for me but I will be off starting the 10th I will have some time off so I can starting making a few.

Any suggestions will be helpful up until then! Thanks guys!

Hey it's my wallet! And it's not Paul Long. Sharkskin yes, Paul Long no. I'm still hoping to get a special sheath done with sheathmaker(Paul Long), he does amazing work
I think a wallet type sheath would be really cool. I think something like this Paul Long system would work well.

I would like to see a horizontal sheath for the Sebenza with as much of the knife in the sheath as possible. I like the idea of a sheath carried horizontally on the belt but mine are all kydex and for fixed blades. I can vision one in leather using the lanyard to withdraw the Sebbie but it would need to be a fairly snug fit.

The perfect belt sheath for me in a pancake that rides close to the body on the belt. It is slightly canted and carried around the 4 o'clock position. I can through a t shirt over for cover. I have some pics I need to find.

김원진 I wanted to give recognition to the person whose pocture I stole, but I could not, for the life, of me remember who it belonged to. I saved the picture to my hard drive a yea or so ago. And I don't know where I got the idea that Paul Long made it haha. That's my bad.
