This might be a good way to get my girl to start carrying a knife instead of having me cut everything.

I guarantee that!!!

OMFG, have I ever had problems just getting her to hold a knife, she freaks out whenever theres one near her out of fear of cutting herself.

Anywho I've gone over and over safety procedures and cutting techniques to eliminate almost all dangers, after about a year of seeing her miserable with knives (obviously, she never wants to fucking hold one) I got her a decent little folder with a pinkish handle to it, and since then... Oh HAS she ever been more resourceful when going on hikes, camping, etc..:thumbup:

(( unnecessary and inappropriate in this forum ))

I could only imagine if there were glitter on it! :p

Hah, my wife would laugh at a pink knife.
One of the first gifts I ever gave her was a nice little folder.
She always carries one. Now if I could just get her to sharpen.
She used to work at a knife retailer, awsome discounts!
Her birthday is the 16th so I usually get out of V-day too. This year for her birthday I made her a fixed blade with bone handles made from some of her bone collection.

Or kill ya for spending $130 on a Griptilian---YEEESH----no matter what the blade steel is----its still a $60 Griptilian.

I was thinking something more along the lines of a Hennessey Hammock. Then when she hates it (which she will) I'll test it out by stringing it up in the basement (where I'll be sleeping for a few nights) :D

Hah! I just booked some indoor rock climbing for valentines day. She said said to surprise her, but refused to give me any suggestions, so I can hardly be blamed when this blows up in my face. At least I'll have fun!

Oh well.... I have been thinking for years that I was a weird guy just because I slept with my window open in winter just to try out my brand new sleeping bag... Now I know I am not alone! :D

If I were to give the wife a pink knife, she would, as she has said, give it back blade first.

I am looking at putting a new scope on her hunting rifle so she will quit whining about the one she has (and suddenly hates).
I think she is also hinting at a new folding knife, but she won't just come out and tell me which one!
AND she wants a weekend at Enchanted Rock!
And chocolate.
Probably gonna get the rifle scope and chocolate.

Shoot, I already gave her a Delica 2, a Delica 4, and and Endura 4 in pink for Christmas, how many more does she need? (actually 2, a D1 and a cricket, any successful leads will be compensated)

I'm thinkin more like a 308 bolt rifle for Valentines.

I got my wife a rainbow leek, but the speed-safe freaked her out & she dropped it.I wound up keeping it.A little later,I got her a really nice lady case slippy for Christmas.I got the stink eye for that.I give up.I just have to accept the fact that she'll never be into knives.:(

I guess I lucked out. I've bought my wife 3 knives and a pistol in less than a year and she has enjoyed all of them. In fact I hav no idea what to get her for Valentines. Maybe I'll try something conventional like flowers and a card.

Hey, that's great! My girl just bought herself a Kershaw leek in pink, I will show her this right now and you can read the response live, ready?

"It looks like a combination of the Leek, which I got, and the Chive, which I didn't get. It's pretty."

So there you have it! Actual realtime response of live girlfriend to the pink RSK! I think I will buy her one.
