Found the Perrin about 3 weeks ago in a local sporting goods store, actually 2, but I bought one ... brought it home and my wife claimed it instantly. It's been used for hard kitchen use since I brought it home. Even carved the turkey last weekend with it. Man it's a nice knife ... wife doen't know it yet but I'm going back for the other one as soon as I can ... have learned to really love the VG-10 steel, despite my affinity for some of the more custom steels. Sharpens like nothing else and holds that edge amazingly.

I know the Street Beat is the hot Spydy these days but I have a hard time comparing it to this beauty.

Just my $.02

Love the FB04, and carry it a lot as you can tell by the wear on the sheath hardwear. As good as it may be in the kitchen, it's an outstanding SD piece!
