The PirtleMade Picture Thread

Here are a few different ones. Busse BT6, Busse Snakeskin Game Warden, and a Fiddleback Forge Bush Hermit. Late 2016.

BT6:

Note that the pull-the-dot snaps on the back belt strap are oriented 180 degrees from each other. This was to prevent both of them from accidentally disengaging at the same time, because this knife was and is carried a lot on my hunting backpacks. We did snaps here to make it easy for on/off on backpacks.

Snake Warden:

Bush Hermit:

Here, I asked Chad for a sheath with higher coverage for the handle than his standard EDC style sheath, and for the belt loop to be higher as well.

The infamous Damn Green!

Funny how far along things have come, olive-ish green is common place now.. we didn't know we were trend setting influencers (before there were influencers :))
Haha yes, damn green! 🤣 It is still surprising to me that the color wasn't common back then.

I should be getting to pics of my "damn green" WTF/WTH piggyback rig here soon...

Piggyback rig for Busse Battle Grade War Train Fusion (WTF) and War Train Handcar (WTH) in the infamous "damn green". 🤩 🥳 March 2017.

This rig is, no joke, a bombproof setup for the apocalypse and beyond!!!

Open spine for the massive shovels that are the WTF and WTH blades, and a dangler for the rig with a true climbing carabiner in case SHTF for real!

More shots of the WTF/WTH rig. By design, they can be separated if desired.

Here they are by themselves.

Here's the carry loop add-on for the WTH by itself.

And here it is with the OG "damn green" BT6 sheath. This trio can do just about anything you could ever ask of a knife. PERFECT Mad Max setup!!!

Congratulations Chad on finally planting a flag here with your own sub-forum.

I love looking at photos of your past work, so I’ll add a few of my own to contribute to the history.

Thanks!

Phil

cpirtle cpirtle do you have pictures of that Blue Suede sheath you made for the Fell Beast? That was the most creative and gorgeous sheath I've ever seen. It just spoke to me. I'm going to have to have you make me one of those for my upcoming Wakizashi.

Sure do, it’s always attached to the gear bag in my vehicle 🙂

I’ll be glad to make you one when you’re ready!

I am safe to post this now since it was delivered today :)

This is the first full coverage top side gator tail sheath I have made, all of those bumps are cartilage armor up to 1/16" thick that wreak havoc on stitching needles and straight lines.
