Well, its finally time for phase one of my big plan. Phase one consists of getting my blades cut by waterjet and getting my sheaths made too. These two things should allow me to double my production. Which has been lacking lately. Sheaths, particularly, really hurt my production, because they take a LOT of time to do.

So I placed an order (small order this time) for three 3' bars of 01 to go to Great Lakes Waterjet. That got me 4 Bushcrafters, 4 Bushcrafter Jr.'s, and 7 Bow Legged Joes.

Also a part of Phase 1 was getting quotes on having JRE Industries make my sheaths. I've sent them a Nessmuk already. As soon as the other models are complete I'll be sending those in for patterning too. This will allow me to almost double my knife production.

The mailman brought me a pile of boxes yesterday. So how about some Phase 1 pics??

Phase two is still not concrete enough to mention yet...

Check out the cool fire piston that J Williams sent me (thanks bro, and thank your son too). He also sent some fatwood, and charcloth and instructions too! Which is cool, because I've never used a firepiston!

Glad you like it man, its really well made. The fit is smooth as butter. Good plan man, maybe now I can get ahold of some of your blades that have been drivin me crazy! Cant wait to see what else you have in store for us!!!

Is that grolsch beer on the table? I love that stuff.....

I really like the looks of the little cleaver, should be an interesting piece when your done them.

I just got some orange g-10, so some will get that. (I've also got blue.) The rest will get green linen or natural canvas mikarta.

Having those blanks cut will save you a ton of time. That will let you spend more time making awesome handles and razor sharp edges!

Got any other cool design is the works? Whatever happened to the Guacho?

That cleaver looks awesome! It's pretty cool too to see a bunch of future blades right from the start.

It'll save a bunch of time grinding to shape and a bunch of time drilling too!!

The gaucho is still sitting on the bench, right beside the recurve with no handle on them...

So I have but a couple of weeks to build my funds back up! I accept the mission.

The waterjet idea and sheath idea is great. You can get more consistency in size and shape that way and of course I really like JRE and their sheaths:thumbup:

Thanks! I like JRE's work too. I met them at Blade Show and I was impressed there too.

Mass production, wave of the future, I tell ya! Now you need to incorporate yourself! With the increase in production, you might not have to worry about a bunch of zombies, er, rabid fans, tearing down your door. Is that a Nessmuk I see in the corner?

Only thing wrong with that picture is that the Pilsner Urquelle looks empty!

There are a couple of nessies on that bench. Trash. Unusable...

That urquelle issue was fixed right up soon after the shot..:)

Hey Andy, great plan. I talked with Spen and Dan at Blade, good guys!

I was going to teach my Mother-n-Law how to grind for my next phase. She liked the idea till I told her that her title was going to be "Grind Monkey!"
